fluid all over you, the point of the resistor is to slowy charge the cap. If you don't the shit blows out everywhere. I've tried it both ways when first installing my cap to my old car, and once when transferring it. The cap is a rockford fosgate(quality) 1 farad, when I used the resistor in the initial install, yeah a took a little longer to charge, but I had no problems. When I moved the cap to my Z, I said f- it and just hooked it up like you said without the resistor. When I did that, fluid blasted, yes blasted, out of the spooge hole. I'd do it right and take 5 minutes longer to use the resistor
Its not that I drive like a madman, its just that everyone else drives stoopid. |
